We appreciate your interest in our online shop. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about the handling of your personal data.

1. Access Data and Hosting

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Each time you access a webpage, the web server automatically stores what is known as a server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the access.

These access data are evaluated solely for the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of the website and improving our services. This serves to safeguard our overriding legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our offer according to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. All access data are deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit to the site.

2. Data Processing for Contract Fulfilment and Contact

2.1 Data Processing for Contract Fulfilment

For the purpose of contract processing (including inquiries about and the handling of any warranty and performance disruption claims as well as any statutory update obligations) according to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we collect personal data if you voluntarily provide them to us as part of your order. Mandatory fields are marked as such, as we need the data in these cases to process the contract, and we cannot send the order without this information. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms.

Further information on the processing of your data, in particular regarding transfer to our service providers for the purposes of order, payment, and shipping processing, can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy. After complete execution of the contract, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the expiry of the statutory retention periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR) or we reserve the right to further data usage that is legally permitted and about which we inform you in this policy.

2.2 Customer Account

If you give your consent according to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR by choosing to open a customer account, we will use your data for the purpose of opening the customer account as well as storing your data for future orders on our website. Deletion of your customer account is possible at any time, either by sending a message to the contact option described in this privacy policy or via a designated function in the customer account. After deletion of the customer account, your data will be deleted unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to legally permitted further data usage, of which we inform you in this policy.

2.3 Contact

As part of customer communication, we collect personal data to process your inquiries in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR if you voluntarily provide these when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or email). Mandatory fields are marked as such because we need the data in these cases to handle your contact request. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. After complete processing of your inquiry, your data will be deleted unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to legally permitted further data usage, about which we inform you in this policy.

3. Data Processing for the Purpose of Shipping

For the fulfillment of the contract in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we pass on your data to the shipping service provider commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the ordered goods.

4. Data Processing for Payment Handling

When processing payments in our online shop, we work with the following partners: technical service providers, financial institutions, and payment service providers.

4.1 Data Processing for Transaction Handling

Depending on the selected payment method, we forward the data necessary for processing the payment transaction to our technical service providers, who act as processors on our behalf, or to the authorized financial institutions, or to the selected payment service provider, insofar as this is necessary for processing the payment.

In some cases, the payment service providers collect the data required for processing the payment themselves, e.g. on their own website or via a technical integration in the order process. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in this respect.

If you have questions about our partners for payment processing and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact option described in this privacy policy.

4.2 Data Processing for Fraud Prevention and Optimization of Our Payment Processes

If applicable, we provide our service providers with additional data, which they use together with the data required to process the payment as our processors for the purpose of fraud prevention and optimization of our payment processes (e.g. invoicing, handling disputed payments, supporting accounting). This serves our legitimate interests, which predominate in the context of a balancing of interests, in securing ourselves against fraud and in efficient payment management pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

4.3 Identity and Credit Check when Selecting Klarna Payment Services

If you decide to use payment services from Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden (“Klarna”), we ask for your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR to transmit the data necessary for processing the payment and for carrying out an identity and credit check to Klarna.

In Germany, the credit agencies mentioned in Klarna’s privacy policy may be used for identity and credit checks. Klarna uses the information obtained on the statistical probability of default for a balanced decision about the establishment, execution, or termination of the contractual relationship.

You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the contact option mentioned in this privacy policy. This may result in us no longer being able to offer you certain payment options. You can also revoke your consent for this use of personal data directly with Klarna at any time.

7.2 Use of Facebook Services

Facebook Pixel
We use the Facebook Pixel within the scope of the following technologies of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook (by Meta)” or “Meta Platforms Ireland”). With the Facebook Pixel, data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about your use of our website based on events specified by us, such as visiting a page or subscribing to a newsletter) is automatically collected and stored, from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms.

As part of the so-called extended data matching, additional information for matching purposes is collected and stored in hashed form, which can be used to identify individuals (e.g. names, email addresses, and phone numbers). For this purpose, a cookie is automatically set by the Facebook Pixel when you visit our website, which, using a pseudonymous cookie ID, enables recognition of your browser when visiting other websites. Facebook (by Meta) will merge this information with other data from your Facebook account and use it to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website usage, in particular personalized and group-based advertising.

The information automatically collected by Facebook (by Meta) technologies about your use of our website is generally transmitted to and stored on a server of Meta Platforms, Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. As part of the Facebook Business Tools, statistics about visitor activity on our website are created from the data collected via the Facebook Pixel regarding your use of our website. Data processing is carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement with Facebook (by Meta). Your analysis serves the optimal presentation and marketing of our website.

Facebook Ads (Ads Manager)

We advertise this website via Facebook Ads on Facebook (by Meta) as well as on other platforms. We define the parameters of the respective advertising campaign. The exact implementation, in particular the decision on the placement of ads with individual users, is the responsibility of Facebook (by Meta). Unless otherwise stated for the individual technologies, data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement between joint controllers pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR. Joint responsibility is limited to the collection of the data and its transmission to Meta Platforms Ireland. The subsequent data processing by Meta Platforms Ireland is not covered by this.

Based on the statistics created via Facebook Pixel about visitor activities on our website, we operate group-based advertising on Facebook (by Meta) using Facebook Custom Audience, by defining the characteristics of the respective target group. As part of the extended data matching carried out to determine the respective target group (see above), Facebook (by Meta) acts as our processor.

On the basis of the pseudonymous cookie ID set by the Facebook Pixel and the data collected about your usage behavior on our website, we also operate personalized advertising via Facebook Pixel Remarketing.

Through Facebook Pixel Conversions, we measure your subsequent usage behavior for web analytics and event tracking when you have reached our website via a Facebook Ads advertisement. Data processing is carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement with Facebook (by Meta).

8.1 Social Plugins from Facebook (by Meta), Instagram (by Meta), Pinterest, WhatsApp
